Sunshine State Acoustic
Music Camp

An innovative multi-generational, experiential-gathering/camp for musicians and wannabe musicians of all ages. It is a wonderful opportunity to jump in and explore creating music on all levels through a variety of workshops, jams, open mic, etc. This is a wonderful chance to try out an instrument, try different instruments, work on performing, learn using looping stations and home studio recording, plus more during this three day opportunity to enjoy beautiful nature in the hills of Central Florida (just 33 miles north of Tampa 1.5 miles off I-75, Exit 293) with on-site primitive camping.

ACCOMMODATIONS: On-site primitive camping with bathrooms and outdoor showers available. There are plenty of level areas for RVs with generators with limited water hook ups available. We do not have a dump station. We are just 7-10 minutes from 
(formerly Sertoma Youth Ranch), and they have RV and primitive camping sites and a dump station. Reservations should be made in advance. Area Hotels are just 12 miles up I-75 in Brooksville. 

 

 

INSTRUMENTS: Bring your own instrument(s) or we have plenty of instruments (children through adult sizes ~ right & left handed), to lend out for the weekend including: *autoharp, electric bass, banjo, dulcimer, guitar, fiddle/violin, mandolin, various percussion instruments, ukulele soprano through baritone sizes. We also have harmonicas (Key of C) available at cost. We may also have a panpipe or bamboo flute making workshop (at cost) if there is enough interest. If you are bringing instrument(s) you haven’t played for awhile need some minor repairs or set up, or are difficult to tune (i.e. autoharp 36+ strings) bring them Friday to get them ready and make sure they are playable for camp or borrow one of ours ~ we have lots!
